Carsten Pieper Enthusiastically bought during the Anchor and Burden recording session stream to celebrate the new album Kosmonautik Pilgrimage to which Bernhard contributed some very delicate soundscapes on keyboards and other devices. I guess I would love to see a video of how this one-piece-album was recorded as the liner notes failed to get me, non-studio person that I am, in the real picture ;-))
The music ebbs and flows, from mysterious to majestic to adventurous passages and back, well done again!

Steven Kostelecky I'm looking forward to the full work. A little noise and an entropic undercurrent I hear in the piece is most welcome.

about

Live recording of a private concert performance at Castle Studios on March 8, 2021.

Using the capabilities of the amazing Castle Studios, Magnet was recorded by mic'ing and re-amping all the electronic signals, turning them into "real" acoustic vibration. An actual reverb room, metal reverb plates and rotary speakers, plus the resonating strings of nearby grand piano have been picked up by microphones. These signals were used exclusively for this mix.

Magnet is not only about being a showcase of how vintage gear and current electronic sound production technologies can merge. It is an epic musical statement with a physical presence.
